What is the Waterfall Model of web development?
The Waterfall Model is a regimented development process that focuses on the design and specific documentation of known requirements before beginning the actual construction of a web application. The model is best used to build applications where the requirements are known at initiation and within development cycles where the potential for iterations are minimal. As a general rule, the Waterfall Model is great for mitigating risk through increased documentation; however, it is typically less flexible within a given development cycle than the Agile Method.
